Misinformation

The presentation of  sin and repentenance in most translations of the New Testament lays a great burden of personal guilt on personal shoulders.

In the original Greek New Testament, the most common word translated as “sin” or “sins” is “hamartia”. 

“hamartia” means “literally missing of the mark”, as in archery.
