Best text-to-speech app for Android phones
Here are some examples of synthesised speech stored on my OneDrive.
Using my Android phone, @Voice Aloud Reader works well, and is my favourite TTS app.
I can bring up a web page on my phone, touch the three dots at the top right of the screen, then ‘Share’ and send the content to @Voice.
Files stored on cloud drives can be read.
Google Wavenet and Amazon Polly voices can be used if you set up payment accounts with Google or Amazon.
The output is in Ogg Vorbis format, with the suffix .ogg This format is considered to give a better sound quality, but some audio players can’t handle it. They can’t be played straight from OneDrive, but can from pCloud.
